Ben and Katelyn

The Cute Kid Chronicles.

Weekend in North Conway

This past weekend, we traveled to North Conway, NH
to celebrate my birthday and have some winter fun.
As soon as we got to the hotel, the kids couldn't wait to
hit the pool and hot tub.

On Saturday morning, we went to Mt. Cranmore for some
snow tubing. The temp. was in the single digits but we were
thankful that there was no wind. We were more than toasty
in our winter gear.
Paul, Katelyn and Ben are ready to head up the mountain.

It was a beautiful clear crisp day with a spectacular view
of the Mount Washington.

Katelyn, Ben and I get ready for another run.

Cutie Pie Ben is having a blast.

Katelyn's getting towed up the mountain.
Such a gorgeous view!
Here's comes Paul.
Katelyn and Ben walking through the snow. Cranmore was
putting the cold temps to good use and making lots of snow that morning.
Look Mom, no hands!!!
Paul and Ben are on their way down.
Katelyn and I hit the bottom.
Check out the rosy cheeks!

Another ride down the mountain.
There go Katelyn and I.
After our tubing fun, we headed over to
Black Mountain, Jackson, NH
to check out the snow sculpting competition.

But of course, Katelyn had to stop by and say Hi to the horses first.

Make a wish......

We bumped into our neighbor Wade Parsons who was invited
to compete. You may have seen him on Fox News or seen his
work in front of his house on Pleasant St. in Wakefield.
We hope he did well.

One the sculptures---looks like a hand holding an apple with a bite out of it.

Next stop, Nestlenook Farm in Jackson, NH for some ice skating.
Ben is getting his skates laced up for the very first time.

Katelyn opted to venture onto the ice without skates. She
had just as much fun as the skaters.

Ben used a safety cone for a little added stability.

Ben said that it's a lot harder than it looks. We all agreed.

I made a few laps around the pavilion. That was enough for
me. I even managed to stay upright the whole time.

Hey, Paul and Ben, the NHL is calling.

After all of our outdoor fun, we spend some much deserved
time back at the pool and hot tub.
