Yay! Christmas is Finally Here

Santa came. We can't wait to see what he left for us.

Yay. He was listening. A Ninendo DS. Just what I was
wishing for.

The Club Penguin game for Nintendo DS. Pretty cool.
The kids must have been really good this year. Santa
brought them a lot of things on their Wish Lists. He even
left a special present for the whole family---
A Nintendo Wii. Yippee!
Thanks Santa.

Christmas Eve

On the morning of Christmas Eve, we took a ride to visit
Auntie Liz. Ben and Riley got aquainted. Riley is Auntie
Liz's nephew.

We're ready to head to Auntie Paula and Uncle
Fred's house for the Christmas festivities.
We can wait to play with Anna and Joe.

Before bed, we left some cookies and milk for Santa.
These are the ones we decorated ourselves. We also left
some special food for the reindeer.

Our magic elves, Chris and Sally are awaiting Santa's arrival
too. Santa sent them to our house in early December to keep
an eye on us and report back to Santa every night letting him
know how we're behaving.

It's Beginning to Smell A Lot Like Christmas

On December 19th, the kids got out of school early due to
a snowstorm that was due to arrive mid-day. We took advantage
of the free afternoon to decorate some sugar cookies and make
our gingerbread house.
We used a homemade cookie frosting/paint
and had fun painting and sprinkling the afternoon away.

Aren't they pretty?

Who Doesn't Love a Snow Day

After we finished decorating our Christmas
goodies, there was quite a bit of snow on the ground
and it was still coming down at a steady pace.
The kids couldn't wait to get outside and have
some fun.

OUR POLAR EXPRESS WEEKEND

We took a trip up to N. Conway last weekend. Mt. Cranmore had
just opened for the season. We're all bundled up and ready
for a few hours of snow tubing.

The mountains looked beautiful covered in snow.
Daddy and Ben are off.
And it's back up the mountain for the next run.

It's Mommy and Katelyn's turn.
Back up again.

It was fun playing in the snow.
Then we headed over to Nestlenook Farm in
Jackson for a sleigh ride.

Katelyn loved the pretty white horse.

We got to stop for a few minutes and feed the reindeer.
Dashing through the snow.....
It's finally time for our trip on the Polar Express.
We have our new pajamas and our tickets. We're all set
to go.

We're finally on board. Next stop---the North Pole.
Yay!! We made it.
The big guy took a break from his duties to visit the kids.
Back on board for the trip back to N. Conway.

We each got a silver bell from Santa's sleigh.
You will only hear the bell ringing if you believe.
It rang for all of us. I hope it still rings
for all of you, too.

Dizzy

The kids had so much fun when Ben's class hamster, Taz, came to
visit on Halloween, that we decided it was time for the kids
to have a pet of their own. His name is Dizzy.

We brought him home the first week of November.

He tickles.
He loves apples and sunflower seeds.

Isn't he cute!
