Pedro's Judo Center Halloween Party

DING-DING!

Ben's reward for ringing the bell.
I hope he picks some Tootsie Rolls.

Hose Hockey.
This exciting hockey equipment occupies between 5 and 8 players around its perimeter. Fully inflated, it forms a hockey table with goals at the ends. While goalies guard their territory on the ends, other players use air hoses extending from the sides to swiftly direct the puck towards a scoring point.
Great for drying off sweaty boys.

My loot bag is full. We can go home now.

All dressed up for Halloween.
The Little Mermaid and Luke Skywalker.

What would I give if I could live
Outta these waters?
What would I pay to spend a day
Warm on the sand?

The force is strong with this one.

BOO

On Saturday night at 8:30 pm our doorbell rang.
When Paul opened the door, no one was there. But
he did find a plastic jack-o-lantern on the doorstep
filled with goodies and a note telling us that we've been "BOO-ed".

Here's how it works.
The following poem is included with the goodies as
well as a boo sign like the one on the left to be put on your front door so other goblins will know you've been "hit" already.

The air is cool the season fall
Soon Halloween will come to all
The spooks are after things to do
In fact, a spook brought this to you
“BOO” is a shield from witching hour
Just hang it up and watch its power
On your front door is where it works
It wards off spooks and scary jerks
The treats that came with crypted note
Are yours to keep, enjoy them both
The power comes when friends like you
Will copy this and make it TWO
Then others here among our friends
Will give warm fuzzies that do not end
We’ll all have smiles upon our faces
No one will know who “BOO”ed whose places
Just one short day to work your spell
Or a big ZAP will strike your tail
And don’t forget a nifty treat,
Like something cute or something sweet
Please join fun, let’s really hear it
And spread some “BOO”s and Halloween spirit.

The kids were so excited to find the treats on Sunday morning.
We have no idea who Boo-ed us.
On Sunday afternoon, we took a trip to Target to get some
"Boo" trinkets. We prepared the plastic pumpkins and goodies
and the kids chose a couple of friends to "Boo."
We drove to their houses, dropped the loot, and took off before
we were spotted. It was lots of fun and a great way to
spend a Sunday afternoon.

It will be fun to see how many more BOO signs
go up in the neighborhood before Halloween.
There are three signs on our street so far. And several
more throughout the neighborhood. We'll keep you posted.

Great-Grammy's 87th Birthday

Today we got together over Grammy and Grampy's to celebrate Great Grammy's 87th birthday. Uncle Richard drove down from Maine to spend a few days.

Make a wish and blow out the candles, Grammy.

Katelyn loves being the "big girl" cousin with Christine. They were sitting so nice together reading books.

Uh-Oh. The silly gooses are here. Imagine how silly they'll be after the sugar kicks in.

Great-Grammy (Eva) and her kids. Uncle Richard beside her, Aunt Linda, Grammy (Betty) and Uncle Jim.

Auntie Annette, Uncle Leo and Great Grammy. Christine was being camera shy.

Here we are. Mommy (Kathy), Katelyn, Great Grammy and Benjamin.

Let's meet here again next year!!!

Jurassic Mini-Golf

After the zoo, we headed up to Salisbury
for some Jurassic Mini-Golf. I haven't added
up the scores yet but Katelyn was quite
impressive.

Golfing in the Dino-Cave

Roger Williams Park Zoo, RI

We surprised the kids with a trip to the Rogers Williams
Park Zoo in RI. The polar bear exhibit was closed. What
a bummer. But there was still lots to see.

Ben and a bronze dog.

Katie's sitting pretty.

That sure was one big turtle!!!

How does Ben measure up to the gorilla?
Give him a few years. He'll catch up.

Bald Eagles

Here comes the seal.

Ben and Katelyn check out the seals
from below.

Feeding time for the penguins. They each had
a color coded bracelet corresponding to their
names. The purple one was Steffie.

Kangaroos and Emu

Indonesian Babirusa aka Pig-Deer

These flamingos were quite malodorous for such pretty birds.

The tortoises were quite happy with their lunch.

Moon Bear-He could smell the burgers cooking and
he was becoming quite agitated.
