OSSIPEE LAKE

We took our yearly summer vacation on
Ossipee Lake from July 25 through August 6.


We have a beautiful view of the lake. It's so
relaxing.

Katelyn's "girls" made themselves right at home and got

into quite a bit of mischief. They have a really good teacher.

Ben wasted no time getting into vacation mode.

Katelyn enjoyed the lake more this year than ever.

One of our favorite vacation indulgences is an after

dinner ice cream. Today we visited the Rte. 16 Dairy Bar.
Muddy Sneakers was a favorite flavor.

CLARK'S TRADING POST

We took a day trip to the Lincoln area and spent some time

at Clark's Trading Post. The bears were quite entertaining.

They enjoy ice cream as much as we do.

We took a train ride encountering the Wolfman.

He was more bark than bite.

The boys had a ball on the Segways. Ben is saving up for

one. I'll have to ask about Segway parking at school.

THE FLUME GORGE

After our visit with the bears we continued

up Rte. 3 to the Flume Gorge.

It was a beautiful hike.

On the drive home we stopped at Lower Falls

along the Kancamagus Highway to dip out toes

in the water.

It was quite refreshing.

Daddy got a Jetski for the week. We all a lot of fun speeding

around the lake.

We took our yearly photo on the deck of our cabin to see

how the kids have grown over the past year.

THE OSSIPEE RIVER DAM

All spiffied up for dinner at the Whittier House.

Ben gets a spot right up front for a boat ride.

Katelyn's ready too.

We spent a lot of time at Long Sands at the southern end of

the lake. It's a perfect spot for the kids to swim. You can walk

out forever in the shallow water.

Racing across the lake to beat the storm.....no such luck!

Back home after two weeks away.....

....but vacation doesn't have to end.
